This should not be interpreted as an additional nationwide payment date for every beneficiary. The 5 November arrangement is intended for beneficiaries whose grants have been identified for review.
If Your SASSA Grant Is Under Review, Do Not Ignore Messages
SASSA has specifically reminded beneficiaries whose grants are under review to respond to official communications from the agency. Affected beneficiaries should also attend review appointments when requested.
Ignoring a legitimate SASSA request for information or failing to attend a required appointment could complicate the review process. Beneficiaries should, however, ensure that any message they receive is genuinely from an official SASSA communication channel before sharing personal information.
What About the SASSA SRD Grant?
The 14 October announcement specifically provides revised dates for the Older Persons Grant, Disability Grant and Children’s Grants, along with the special fourth payment day for grants under review.
It does not announce a new general SRD payment date. SRD beneficiaries should therefore not assume that 30 October, 2 November or 3 November automatically applies to their SRD payment.
